Metro Manila Film Festival or famously called MMFF is organized by MMDA Metro Manila Development Authority, an existing government body. It has been the highest earning film festival in the Philippines. On a note it has expensive joining fee. But still many filmmakers competes to join.
Many filipinos attend this festival because it is during the holiday season and they have more time to watch many films. It happens annually from December 25 until January 7 in major cinemas across Metro Manila featuring 8 full-feature commercial movies. It’s one of the fabulous film festival here because of it’s attractive activities aside from the nice stories represented by each film.
Due to pandemic it was cancelled last year but it is a given fact that this festival really earn big money in its box office. This year it’s going to happen again. 2021 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) will be the 47th edition, here are the list of film entries this year.

Organizers said the eight entries were selected out of 19 films evaluated.
The films were chosen based on the following criteria
Artistic excellence (40%), commercial appeal (40%), Filipino sensibility (10%), and global appeal (10%)
