Ruins Talisay

How to get there:
Ride a cab from the capital city of Bacolod, it would take about 30-45 minutes.

If you’re driving, find your way to Bata (Pepsi bottling plant) and head east. From there, signs will lead you to The Ruins. Or you could ask directions from locals, most of them know where The Ruins is.

During our trip in Bacolod and Silay we were able to drop by at the biggest and grandest mansion in the province of Negros.

First to greet us is the funny tour guide Roger.

Short History

Don Mariano Ledesma Lacson, a Spanish-Filipino sugar baron, built the mansion for his Portuguese wife, Maria Braga.

Don Mariano found out that the Japanese were planning to turn his mansion into their headquarters. So he asked Filipino guerrilla fighters in Negros to burn his house.

Heres a very entertaining story of Roger(the funny tour-guide) about the history of Ruins.
