This year, I will start to write Interesting Films that I have watched in 2019. It is rare to remember a great film so better write and share it here. Feel free to share your feedback and recommend other films too.
Parasite, directed by Bong Joon-ho. I studied at the Busan Asian Film School and I am proud because my Professor Darcy Paquet did the subtitles of the film. It’s a very interesting film because it also has elements of Filipino society culture. The word parasite itself hooks an audience to get curious about the film.
Emma, directed by Pablo Larrain (Chile). Producer is Juan De Dios LARRAÍN. Cast are Mariana DI GIROLAMO / Gael GARCÍA BERNAL / Paola GIANNINI / Santiago CABRERA / Cristián SUÁREZ. I watched it during the Busan International Film Festival in October 2019.
A Sun, directed by Chung Mong-hong (Taiwan). It is an opening film at Tokyo International Film Festival. A touching family story, I cried to the father-son story here.
Metamorphosis, directed by Jose Enrique Tiglao (founder of Rebelde Film Camp). A finalist of Cinemaone Originals Film Festival this year. It is a very interesting film about a young intersex person. A simple and clear storytelling. It is easier to follow main and supporting characters. starring Gold Azeron
Wet Season, directed by Anthony Chen (Singapore). I got the chance to watch the film during Talents Tokyo/Tokyo Filmex, this film is inspiring, it has an easy to follow storyline and a clear message. I also got to listen his lecture about his journey from short filmmaking to feature filmmaking during one of our lectures in TT.
