Piolo Pascual delighted Canon President Alan Chng during Photomarathon 2011

Filipino Photographers showed their skills during Canon Photomarathon 2011, the most anticipated photography event on November 12, 2011 AT  THE PTTC Bldg Sen. Gil Puyat Ave. Cor Roxas Blvd., Pasay City.

It was the manila leg of Canon Photo marathon which sets a new record of having the most number of participants around 2,000+ photographers joining the activity.

Way back 2006 event, it was only participated by hundreds of photographers but now Canon has really grown its camera users and consumers all over Asia.

This year’s Canon Photo marathon has been the biggest photography event surpassing all countries across Asia. “We were surprised that there are so many Canon camera owners here in the Philippines” said Canon CEO Mr. Alan Chng.

And it has become the reason why Canon is getting it’s biggest market share of almost 50%.

This kind of event is beneficial especially to Filipino Families; it is like a family bonding while capturing the memories using Canon cameras. “As you can see many of them brought their families here and they came very early” Mr. Chng noticed.

Not only that they also get to meet new friends and they were able to do networking. They learn from each other about their skills and experiences and that is a very important part of this event. Also present during the event are the Canon brand ambassadors (Crusaders of Light) whose role is to share their expertise in the field of photography since each of them has a very specialize skill.

They give talks and seminar at no charge, as long as you buy DSLR camera from Canon you get this very amazing benefit.

“I am very delighted…I am very astonished and surprised seeing the reactions of all participants, hope to make it even more next year…hopefully 3,000 plus.” Alan Chng adds.

Canon endorser/photographer Piolo Pascual was also there to share tips about photography.
