Australia as top study destination in IDP Fair

Australia is highlighted once more as among the world’s best education destinations in the next education fair organized by IDP Education Philippines this month.

The Australian Education Exhibition 2013 will be held at the Marco Polo Hotel in Davao on Friday, May 17. It moves to the Dusit Thani Makati the following day, culminating with its Cebu staging at the Radisson Blu Hotel Cebu on Sunday, May 19.

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization’s Institute of Statistics reports that Australia ranks among the top five destinations for tertiary education among the world’s mobile students. In 2010, it received 17% of the total number of students hosted in the East Asia and Pacific countries, second only to the United States.

From July 2011 to June 2012, there were 2,633 Filipino students who went to Australia to study, making it the Number 1 study destination of Filipinos.

Students prefer to go to Australia for diploma, certificate, training and further education (TAFE) because the country offers many benefits, foremost of which are internationally recognized qualifications, part-time work opportunities and higher post-graduation employability potential.
Changes were made in March to the Temporary Graduate visa allowing recent graduates the opportunity to spend more time in Australia (to gain practical experience) following completion of their bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degrees.

As it continues to host students from different cultures, Australia is also able to offer an increasingly diversified cultural environment. Graduates then have the advantage of being exposed to a variety of cultures and building an international network of contacts which they can tap into once they enter the workplace.

Learning From My Mistakes in Blogging

I started blogging way back 2009-2010 but it was only yesterday that I realized this – I did a lot of mistakes. I admit that I tried a lot of things but it didn’t work me. From now on I will be applying all that I learned from Khoa.

Thanks to Khoa Bui, speaker of Internet Cashflow Mastery workshop, an event organized by PMCM Events because I was able to learn (again) the important things I should change in the way I do my blogging.

I just want to share a few points maybe there’s many people who feel the same way that I do.

Of all the speakers and talk that I attended it was Khoa Bui’s workshop who has the most organized and complete presentation about the basics of blogging.

If you also tried a lot of things but it didn’t work here’s a few points on How to start a blogsite and eventually EARN a lot from it.

DISCIPLINE

Just like any other field, Discipline is the key to online success. If you do not have self-discipline you will not succeed.

80 PERCENT

At the start remember that 80% of your time will be spent in this area. That includes listing down the things you know a lot about.

JUST WRITE

Select the one that pops out and write over 250 articles out of it. How long is each article? 500-700 words

NO MONEY

Do not think of money and do not think about the look of your blog. A simple one will do for now.

THE EXERCISE

Build an authority posts that contains lots of free information that gives value to your prospects.

If you are having a hard time creating a post then why don’t you try interviewing 30-50 people, transcribe your interview and write an article out of it.

In this exercise patience must be practiced. It is part of discipline.

AVOID STRESS

Do not stress in creating a post. if you want you can apply what Khoa Bui is doing when he is writing a blog-post When he starts writing he uses a timer for 25 minutes and then he stops or he just turns off the monitor. DON’T STRESS.

EXERCISE to Write 10 High quality articles do a keyword research and choose your battle

You can choose from Google Adword keyword tool(free) and choose the low competition keyword.

BuyaCar, Inc., a venture of Esquire Financing Inc and Capitalife Lending Inc., acquired hundreds of pre-owned vehicles from BDO Unibank Inc (BDO). The bulk purchase was formalized last February 27, 2013 at the Fernando Amorsolo Room of the BDO Corporate Center in Makati. The company partners with banks and dealers for asset disposal to build its inventory of vehicles.

Buyacar specializes in pre-owned vehicles and sells them via financing of up to 36 months at no down payment. They offer a wide array of models of known brands like Toyota, Honda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, Isuzu, Chevrolet, and many others.

According to Capitalife chief executive officer Steve Borsuk, “What Buyacar is offering is a lease-to-own scheme that is very much similar to the American system of financing. This is the first of its kind in the country.” He said their primary target market are those who need assistance in buying vehicles and this scheme makes it possible.

Mr. Uttamchandani, president and chief executive officer of Esquire Financing Inc. said, “Our vision is to service the market with affordable cars at flexible terms. There are 4 million transient workers in Metro Manila who take public transport, some of whom are capable of owning their own vehicles. Transportation is an issue for everyone. Things you should know about Data Analytics

I attended Dan Meyer ‘s Analytics training and I learned a lot of things about data anaytics. In case you didn’t know, Daniel Meyer worked for Wells Fargo Bank for 15 years. He has a degree in education. And he’s also teaching English proficiency.

I also had a chance to interview Mr. Daniel Meyer. I found out that his wife is a Filipina. He want to bring analytics to the Philippines.

What is Data Analytics?

It is the science of examining raw data with the purpose of drawing conclusions about that information. And it is used in many industries to allow companies and organization to make better business decisions and in the sciences to verify or disprove existing models or theories.

Why is data analytics is important in business?

It is important to have data analytics because no company can survive without analyzing available data. Some of the benefits of having data analytics in a business are

Structuring the findings from survey research or other means of data collection
Break a macro picture into a micro one
Acquiring meaningful insights from the dataset
Basing critical decisions from the findings
Ruling out human bias through proper statistical treatment

I was able to get insights on how Analytics work but at this time I still do not have that clear idea on how will it work for me as a blogger. As of now I am still learning a lot from Dan Meyer.

Franchising: More Funds In The Philippines

When I hear about franchising I immediately think of Armando Bartolome, the Franchise Guru of the Philippines. It was a year ago when I met him but I never got the chance to ask further things about franchising in the Philippines. When I have time I chat him on Facebook and ask about things I want to know about franchising in the Philippines.

Honestly, I have a bit of curiosity about franchising because I heard a lot of success stories about it and until now it is picking up a lot of earnings. It is considered to be one of the fastest growing business and it has a promising income.

How is franchising helping the economy?

It has created employment, and brings honor to the country as brands go global.

What are the best locations in Metro which are best for a business? Makati, Manila, QC?

My Experience at International Coastal Cleanup 2011

This was posted from my other blog. I would like to share it here because this experience is memorable to me. It was during the International Coastal Cleanup 2011.

After the recent tree planting activity at The Marikina Water Shed, we did another one as our commitment to Live Positively Philippines!

We had the International Coastal Cleanup held on Saturday, September 17, 2011 in Samal, Bataan.

International Coastal Cleanup (ICC), an initiative of the Ocean Conservancy, is the world’s largest single-day volunteer effort to eradicate litter and debris from beaches, inland waterways and oceans.

Globally, beverage-related items contribute 28 percent of items collected during the cleanup, including plastic, glass and aluminum beverage cans, caps and lids.

Despite of the heavy rain and slippery mud, it did not stop us from reaching the coastal area in order clean up.

It is important for us to play a proactive role and help clean up our coastal communities around the world.

There’s more activities like this of course with the help of Coca Cola in promoting sustainability to the lives of others.

In 2008, Coca-Cola launched a multi-year partnership with Ocean Conservancy through a $1 million pledge to support the ICC. Last year, more than 26,000 Coca-Cola system associates, their friends and families around the world participated in the ICC, contributing more than 200,000 hours of volunteer time and collecting nearly 400,000 pounds of trash.

At the coastal area, we saw dead fishes floating and that awakened us to give our effort in this activity. It is never to late to help out and save our watershed.

Pollution is a major problem here that is affecting the ocean and the rest of the Earth, too.

Because of too much garbage, it directly affects ocean organisms and indirectly affects human health and resources. Now this goes to the food that we eat specially those coming form the sea.

Oil spills, toxic wastes, and dumping of other harmful materials are all major sources of this.

We should learn more about taking care of the Earth and the rest of it’s part because if we will know more about caring for our planet, then definitely we will know more about how to stop pollution.

Our responsibility does not end here. This is our commitment forever.
